The St Roses Robotics Club is an extracurricular Club where students volunteer to learn robotics. The Club focuses on STEM incorporated into the Club activities. The Club membership is currently mostly comprised of 9-grade students. Club usually meets on Friday afternoons for about two hours from 3 pm to 5 pm.
We are currently in our very early stages but the students are very enthusiastic and willing to learn about robotics. There is also a programming aspect where we will introduce students to scratch programming as an introductory programming language. The St. Roses Robotics Club is also affiliated with Stem Guyana allowing the students to be exposed to other clubs and engage in competition whenever STEMGuyana has one.
STEMGuyana is led by Karen Abrams, a St. Rose’s alumna.
