FOOD INSECURITY AT OUR ALMA MATER

During the international reunion in 2023, a critical issue came to light whilst in a meeting with the Administration, Board of Governors, Faculty, US and Guyana chapter representatives. Concerns were raised about the urgent need to address a serious problem affecting our students.

In response to this immediate concern, the Project Planning Committee took decisive action by allocating fifteen thousand dollars to provide breakfast for thirty-five students. While the original request was for seventy-five students, we regret that the full amount could not be met. We are now reaching out to our esteemed alumni for support in sustaining this vital project.

Furthermore, the committee is actively exploring alternative fundraising strategies and welcomes any innovative ideas that you, as a valued member of our alumni network, may have to offer.

It is impossible for us to sustain this program so we are appealing to you, our alumni and friends.  To contribute to this cause or to sponsor a student, please visit our website at https://www.strosesalumni.org/. Your generosity and support will make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our students.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we appreciate your ongoing support for our alma mater.

Celebrate the impact of education by supporting our alma mater, St. Rose’s High School (Guyana) this Giving Tuesday through our alumni association. Every donation helps shape the future of students and strengthens the community.

Our goal this Giving Tuesday is to raise $7,500.00 to aid the funding  of much needed projects at our alma mater. Click the link to make your donation https://www.strosesalumni.org/donate

Please feel free to share with your family and friends.

We thank you for your support.

ST. ROSE'S PRIZE GIVING 2024

The association extends heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2024. Thanks and appreciation to each and every one of you for the successful execution of the annual Prize Giving event at the St. Rose's Auditorium on Friday, November 22. It was truly a day of celebration and recognition of excellence.

As per our longstanding tradition, the US Chapter graciously sponsored the monetary awards for the thirty-eight top achievers at CSEC and CAPE, a testament to our unwavering commitment to supporting academic excellence. We are proud to note that our contributions have directly impacted the lives of these deserving students and have motivated them to strive for greater success in their academic pursuits.

We would like to express special gratitude to Shonta Noel, a distinguished alumna from the class of 2015, for her exceptional involvement in the event by delivering our message and presenting the awards and certificates. Her dedication and achievement as the most outstanding student regionally in Business Studies in 2015 truly exemplify the caliber of individuals that our organization is privileged to support.

Furthermore, we commend the remarkable achievements of Maria Pertabsingh and Rashida Hardy, who shone brightly as the salutatorian and valedictorian, respectively. Their outstanding academic performances are a testament to their hard work and determination.

In conclusion, I have no doubt that our continued efforts in fostering academic excellence will yield even greater success in the future. Let us carry forward this momentum and strive for excellence in all our endeavors.

With confidence in our collective abilities, I look forward to our continued collaboration and success in the coming year.
